    • EVENT UPDATES & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

      We are excited to announce the Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle 5K will be happening LIVE on November 7th, 2020.  We have recreated this event to make it what we believe is the safest running event you can participant in (click here for a complete list of safety protocols). We also have a virtual option, as well!

      Here’s how it works:

      1. Register now  to secure your spot and we will not charge your card until 10/21.  We expect this event will sell out so register now to reserve your spot! 

      2. On event day, we will release participants in a time-trial start. Participants will sign up for an exact start time closer to the event (exact date to be announced). 

      3.  There will be limited touch points at this event. All event water will be in sealed water bottles at water stops and all finish line food will be prepackaged grab-and-go snacks. 

      4. This is a no mass gathering event. All registration will be done online and packet pick up will pre-event and by mail. 

      5. All staff and volunteers will be wearing a mask/facial covering and gloves at all times.

      6. There will be increased hand washing and hand sanitizer stations throughout the event site and the race course.

    • WHAT IS THE NEW 2020 HARRISBURG HOT CIDER HUSTLE?

      The Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle is a beloved fall tradition. This year the tradition continues as a virtual event. Instead of having a mass gathering event, runners can race the course on their own or run virtually anywhere on a date of their choosing between September 18th – November 8th.

      Here’s how it works:

      1. Register for the Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle Half Marathon, 10K & 5K and and to run the distance on your own favorite course

      2. Get your commemorative event gear mailed straight to your door and Select a day from September 18th – November 8th to conquer your half marathon, 10k, or 5K on your own. Be sure to print your race bib before heading out on your run!

      3. When you go out for your run, be sure to use your favorite tracking app or watch to keep track of your finish time.

      4. After completing your distance on your own, submit your results to the leader board and print off your finisher certificate.

      Each participant receives a long sleeved t-shirt, online results, digital bib and digital finisher certificate. Mug and medal are available as add-ons during registration.

      When will my gear be shipped?

      What date do I complete my Half Marathon, 10K or 5K?
      You can run the Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle any day from September 18th – November 8th.

      Congratulations on conquering the Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle Half Marathon, 10K & 5K! After you submit your results, there is a button in the top right corner that says “Certificate.”

      When do I need to submit results by?
      You can submit results anytime between September 18th – November 8th.

    • RUN VIRTUALLY

      We are excited to also offer the option to conquer the Harrisburg Hot Cider Hustle 5K virtually on your own on a course of your choosing and get the gear mailed straight to your door.

      Here’s how it works:

      1. Register for the virtual event here. Your card will be charged at the time of registration. 

      2. Conquer your distance on your own, on a course of your choosing on any date in October. Remember to print your commemorative bib before taking off on your run!

      3. Use your favorite tracking app to or watch to keep track of your mileage and finish time. 

      4. Submit your results to be added to the leader board. Learn how to submit your results here. Be sure to print off your finisher certificate after you submit your results! 

      5. Get your commemorative event shirt and medal mailed straight to your door!

    • EVENT SAFETY PROTOCOLS

      On event day, we will release 1 participant every 10 seconds. There will be clear markings on the ground to comply with proper social distancing procedures. The start and finish line will be separated.

       There will be limited touch points at this event. All event water will be in sealed water bottles at water stops and all finish line food will be prepackaged grab-and-go snacks. Participants will sign an online waiver prior to the event.

      This is a no mass gathering event. All registration will be done online and packet pick up will pre-event and by mail. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your assigned start time and please depart once you complete the race.

      All staff and volunteers will be wearing a mask/facial covering and gloves at all times.

      Please wear a mask or facial covering when you are in the start/finish line area. You may remove your mask when you begin the race. Please note there will not be a gear check to hold masks. It can be placed on a belt, in an arm or waist band, etc. Please remember to put the mask/facial covering back on when you have finished the race.

      There will be increased hand washing and hand sanitizer stations throughout the event site and the race course.

      No spectators are allowed in the event site. Spectators may watch the race along the race course at least 6 ft. back from participants. 

    • Schedule

      Race Day

      There will be no event day packet pick up. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your assigned start time. This race has a limited number of spots and will sell out. If you miss your start time, your spot will be forfeited. The race will try to allow you to start at the end of the wave, however this is subject to available spots.

      7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Start 
      Staggered start with one participant starting every 10 seconds. Starting times will be assigned the week of the race based on the finishing time entered during registration. 

      Course time limits:
      5K – 1 hour 20 minutes

      Option 1: Get your packet mailed right to your door for $12.99 (limited time availability).

      Option 2:  Packet pick up details will be posted at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

      Option 3: Event day packet pick up (not suggested).

      Picking up someone else’s packet? Don’t forget you must bring their signed waiver.

      Awards will be awarded to the top 3 participants, male and female in each age group and overall for the 5K. Age Groups:
      14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 & 65+

      Winner medals will be mailed post-event free of charge per request.

      You will enter your credit card information at the time of registration, but your card will not be charged until 10/21.

      2020’s shirt material is:
      100%  Soft Performance Polyester

      Runners and walkers can participate in this event. See schedule above for the time limit. One participant will start every 10 seconds.

      This event will be chip timed. Participants wear a timing chip integrated with their bib number that starts their individual time when they cross the start line and stops it when they cross the finish line.

      Participant gear must be picked up at pre-event packet pick up or mailed to you. If you do not pick up your participant gear there will be a fee to have it mailed to you. Post race shirt request link.

      If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you or signed up for the virtual event, your gear will typically arrive 1 – 4 days before the event date. It will be sent to the address you entered in during registration. If your package does not arrive before the event day, please come to packet pick up or the event site where you will be re-assigned your bib and gear.

      Headphones/iPod/mp3 devices are allowed, though are strongly not recommended. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.

      If at any time you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.

      All participants are required to sign an online waiver. There will be no paper waivers to minimize touch points.

      No Dogs. Strollers are allowed for walkers & joggers only and the parent/guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of their child(ren) in the stroller.

      All water stations include water and Half Marathon water stations include water and sports drink. All drinks will be in sealed bottles and participants will be able to take them off of the table themselves to minimize touch points.

      The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions. The above schedule is weather dependent.

      You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 7 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.

      You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.

      You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other All Community Event’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. All deferment requests must be sent via e-mail and please include your name, the event your currently in and which event you would like to defer into.

      You can manage your event shirt size and any other add-ons up to 10 days before the event.
