General Notes

This event is chip timed using bib chip technology. Your “chip” is integrated with your bib. You must wear your bib visibly on your front to be electronically timed.

Runners and walkers can participate in this event as long as the participant can finish within the event time limit, see schedule.
All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form. Click mail in registration link on registration page to view event waiver.
No gear check. No large bags allowed on premises (police order).
It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.
During hours of operation the Forest Preserve District of Cook County is always open to the public unless otherwise noted by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Please visit Forest Preserve District of Cook County website for rules and regulations which are in effect throughout the event.
Water stations include water and sports drink.
If at any time you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.
No dogs. No strollers.
The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions. Above schedule is weather dependent.

– Gateway funds clinical trials focusing on the repurposing of approved medications, new drug development, complementary and alternative therapies, and personalized medicine modalities

Team Demand is a national charity athlete program uniting cause and community where individuals rally together with two goals in mind – to lead an active lifestyle and to raise funds for bold, new cancer research. Athletes of all levels have represented Team Demand in competitive and family-fun events that include local run/walk, cycling, golfing, and mudathalon competitions – really, any sporting activity. Team Demand members and supporters are spreading the urgent message that better, safer and more effective cancer treatments are needed for today’s cancer patients. For every dollar received, 99 cents supports phase I and phase II cancer clinical trials funded by Gateway for Cancer Research.
